Know your Spine

The spine is made of 33 individual bones stacked one on top of the other. This spinal column provides the main support for our body. It allows us to stand straight, bend, and twist while protecting the spinal cord from injury. Strong muscles and bones, flexible tendons and ligaments, and sensitive nerves contribute to a healthy spine.
Participants of the SpineCare Yoga Program share that regular practice of the techniques has positively impacted their routines as well as their health.

Programs for Children

If any of these structures are affected by strain, injury, or disease, it can cause pain. Excess body weight, weak muscles, and something as common as poor muscle tone, or a large belly can not only throw our spine but our entire body out of alignment.

Misalignment puts incredible strain on the spine. Good posture involves training your body to stand, walk, sit, and lie in a way that causes you the least amount of strain to be placed on the spine during movement or weight-bearing activities. Wrong postures promote depression, cause lactose intolerance, and irritable bowel syndrome, among other ailments.

I want to take this course but...

Do the techniques taught in this program have long-lasting effects? Will I be completely healed of all my aches/pains post this program?

Yes, definitely! Around 75 percent of people feel immense benefits. Of course, the results vary from person to person depending on personal health conditions - depending on whether their condition is acute or chronic.

I have a slipped disc. Will this program help me?

This program can help you with spine related issues. However, we advise you to check with your doctor and follow his/her advice. 

I am on medication. Is it okay for me to do this program?

Yes. If you are walking in the house and not completely bedridden, you can attend the program with definite benefits.

I sit for long hours in front of the screen. Since this is an occupational hazard, can this program really benefit me?

Yes, and moreover, you will learn how to sit properly in front of the screen. You will even learn to sit for the program. Office ergonomics is a part of this program

Do I have to follow a special diet while doing this program?

No.

Can I attend this workshop along with my child?

The SpineCare program for those over 18 years of age is not advisable for children. There is a separate, specially-designed SpineCare workshop that children can join. It keeps the child's growth pattern central in all its processes. An important aspect to note is that the process of bone growth goes on till the age of 18 years.

I am healthy now. Will this program help me avoid back pain or is it a procedure to correct bad posture only?

Yes, you can do it even if you are healthy. It is a preventive as well as a corrective program.

Will it also help me to reduce shoulder pain and knee pain?

Yes, with proper alignment of body structure, the weight-bearing capacity of various joints improves. Wherever necessary, it also gets corrected, thus reducing aches and pains.
